inbetweeners

4a. Discuss in detail how and why one comedy programme was scheduled on one or more channels?

I studied the Inbetweeners and the channel that it was broadcasted from was E4. The channel E4, the ‘E’ stands for entertainment, the age group that it is targeted at is 15-35 and its a pay for view channel and has had 3.7 million viewers. On 16 December 2004, Channel 4 announced that the subscription channel would return to digital terrestrial television. The programme is aimed at A male audience aged 18 upwards. It uses a lot of crude humour and its the most watched TV programme watched on E4.  The channels brand identity  is the entertainment destination for a cutting edge young audience Its eccentric and witty persona and strong branding make it a massive talking point. The days that the programme was transmitted on was a Tuesday night at 11pm as it isn’t suitable before the water shed point as the audience that it’s suitable 18 plus. This time slot would attract the audience as people aged 18 plus would tend to be up by that time. This channel is not part of the public service broadcasting as it’s a channel that you have to pay for. The channels ethos is that is a British public-service television broadcaster which began transmission on 2 November 1982. The reason the inbetweeners was showed once a week as the episodes were new, but now they are showed mutable times as this cheaper for the channel as they are past episodes.

  1. Charlie, sorry that I did not post in time for you to use the info in this prep answer. You'll need to read my current post and look at the Prezi about C4 to do a good answer!
It needs to be more precise about audiences as well as about the C4 brand identity.
